Blake - Self Titled

Blake - Self Titled

Blake is a band out of Ottawa, I believe. Don't know too much about them, other than the fact that I have been consumed with this cd for a few days now. I discovered them on some bbs that had a thread on Canadian screamo. I wouldn't really label them screamo, but they definitely have the soft then screamy vocals that are typical of the genre. I couldn't find any good artwork, this is from their 7". If anyone has it, please lemme know.

Hey thanks this is good. Would you be able to fill my requests for Jawbox's "My Scrapbook of Fatal Accidents", anything by Shudder To Think except "Get Your Goat" and "Pony Express Record", and anything by Girls Against Boys? Would be sooo appreciated.

The Blake record is on the Blue skies turn Black label.

Also they went on to be Rockets Red Glare. I'd say even better then Blake. Dirty Tricks are another notable hot snakes esq. band on BSTB. Check them out if you can.

Thanks for the posts!

Wow. This is stunning. Sounds at points as if the Sea and Cake got all pissed off.

Thanks for posting this. It's now blowing up my ipod.

BTW... love this blog. Keep up the good work.

Hey, do you have any In Vain (CT) stuff around? My record collection is in storage, and I would kill to hear "Noose Tyings"
